It is currently 99 degrees, with a heat index of 114 and the governor wants all state buildings to set the thhermostats up 2-3 degrees (set around 80). Nice, you can tell he LOVES state employees, I'm sure the mansion is nice & cool. Thankfully, I do NOT work in a State building. It's fairly cool and comfy in here.

ugh girl! that is HOT!!! we reached our record here yesterday with 96--ack! today hasn't been quite as bad--temps in the low 90s. but how bad is it when low 90s "aren't so bad"???? i'm in the mountains! well, kind of... maybe foothills now. either way, raleigh would have to be broiling this time of year!
